BREAKING: Aaron Boone is Being Extended by the Yankees

NY – Hal Steinbrenner met with Meredith Marakovits of the YES network for a special interview for Hot Stove on Tuesday, January 28th, 2025.

While nothing is done yet, it’s hard to be surprised by this move. The Yankees like what Boone has done in his tenure. The one box Boone has not checked in his tenure is winning a championship, something to which is top priority for the Yankees after loosing the World Series in 5 Games to the Dodgers in 2024.

While Boone frustrates the fan base on the regular, he has been a good manager in his time in New York. Sure, you can isolate incidents in which he has not been great, but you can do that with any Manager.

I’m sure Hal will elaborate on the full episode of Hot Stove on January 28th, 2025 at 7:00pm on the YES Network and streaming on the Gotham Sports App.
